Typography 50

For this week, we were asked to created 16 thumbnail sketches for the publication design grid project. I tried to play around with putting the title in very different places and even putting images over it. I also tried to make the text complex or simple at times, to be very appealing  to the viewer. Hope you enjoy!

 For this week, I finished up my final sketches and then worked on the final designs. I was really proud of how all these came out, especially the Symbol version. They all have their own aesthetic which I was trying to uniquely convey. Overall, from the color schemes of red, white and black, the placements of the display, symbol and text, and the way it all harmonized together, I wanna say that, personally, this was a very successful project! I hope you all enjoy!!!!

 For this week I finished my final sketches for the Greek letter project. I picked the ones I believed was the best. I hope y’all enjoy!!

 This week we had to choose what symbol we wanted to use for the letterform project. I chose Xi because I found it the most appealing symbol from the Greek alphabet, plus I thought of very creative ways ti implement the symbol, display name and the type together. I hope you enjoy the text and concepts I thought of.

I totally forgot we needed to post this on week 6 when we had a test (sorry if this is last minute): For Week 6 as a class we reviewed for the Basic history and Anatomy of type. Overall I feel that we had a great review and it helped me going into the test. I think I did pretty well, there was some history of typography I might have gotten wrong because I’m never great at history but overall I think I did great! For the next test, however, I feel that I want to study a little bit more in order to do better on parts like history or names. I hope everyone else did great on it and had a great rest of the week!
